Position Summary
The Senior Supply Chain & Project Coordinator will oversee strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, supplier management, customer coordination, and cross-functional project execution within the aviation industry. The role requires strong commercial acumen, project management capability, and the ability to manage complex international supply chain activities while supporting business growth across multiple markets.
The successful candidate will ensure efficient procurement and logistics operations, maintain strategic supplier relationships, support business development initiatives, and deliver high-priority customer requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain, Procurement & Sourcing
- Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for aviation products and services.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, tenders, quotations, commercial proposals, and procurement documentation.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners.
- Identify alternative sourcing opportunities to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
Customer & Commercial Coordination
- Manage strategic customer accounts and ensure timely execution of critical and high-value requirements.
- Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
- Prepare professional correspondence, commercial proposals, reports, and presentations.
Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate end-to-end procurement, shipping, customs clearance, warehousing, and delivery activities.
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve logistics and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contractual commitments, and quality standards.
- Support procurement and operational requirements for affiliated and sister companies.
Project Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute cross-functional projects involving procurement, supply chain, logistics, and strategic initiatives.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, budgets, timelines, and operational risks.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Business Development Support
- Support market expansion initiatives through networking, customer engagement, and supplier development.
- Identify new suppliers, distributors, OEMs, and business opportunities across target markets.
- Participate in commercial negotiations and proposal development.
Contracts, Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and administer commercial agreements including NDAs, MOUs, agency agreements, and supplier agreements.
- Maintain accurate procurement, logistics, and project documentation.
- Prepare periodic operational, procurement, and project performance reports.
- Identify operational risks, recommend improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute special projects and strategic assignments as directed by senior management.
Candidate Profile
- 5–7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or project coordination.
- Mandatory experience within the aviation industry.
- Strong understanding of international procurement, supply chain management, freight forwarding, and logistics operations.
- Experience working with OEMs, aviation suppliers, freight forwarders, and international vendors.
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
Mandatory Requirements
- Aviation industry experience.
- Fluency in English, Arabic, and French (spoken and written).
- Willingness to undertake international business travel, particularly across Africa (Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, Chad, Egypt, Libya).
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
