Financial Reporting Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Consultant to support clients in preparing accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports. The role will involve financial statement preparation, reporting analysis, accounting advisory, month-end/year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with applicable IFRS and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and experience working with complex financial reporting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing and reporting processes.
- Analyze financial data, account balances, variances, and financial trends to identify discrepancies and reporting issues.
- Prepare management reports, financial analysis, reporting packs, and financial disclosures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts and financial reporting schedules.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unusual or aged balances.
- Review accounting transactions and assess their appropriate classification and treatment.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and financial reporting matters.
- Support implementation and interpretation of IFRS standards, accounting policies, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external and internal auditors.
- Identify gaps in financial reporting processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support clients during financial reporting transformation, restructuring, or accounting system implementation projects.
- Prepare financial reporting templates, procedures, and accounting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Audit, and other stakeholders to resolve reporting-related issues.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis, accounting advisory, and consulting assignments as required.
