Job Description Senior Accountant – Project Accounting & Revenue Recognition Location Dubai, UAE Role Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially focused Senior Accountant to support our finance function within a project-driven technology environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IFRS, particularly revenue recognition under IFRS 15, and extensive experience in project accounting. This role requires close collaboration with clients, project teams, sales teams, and senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities • Manage project accounting activities from project initiation through completion. • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15 requirements. • Review customer contracts and assess accounting treatment, revenue milestones, and billing structures. • Monitor project costs, margins, profitability, and project financial performance. • Prepare monthly project profitability and revenue recognition reports. • Manage contract assets, deferred revenue, accrued revenue, and work-in-progress schedules. • Coordinate with project managers and business stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy of project data. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities. • Prepare financial reports and management dashboards. • Monitor billing, collections, and customer account balances. • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and IFRS standards. • Act as a finance business partner to operational and commercial teams. • Support internal and external audits.
